It became the center of an industrial revolution back in the middle of the XIX century, that is the reason of the many modernism buildings here. "Casa Freixa" is one example of that.

Also important here is the "National Museum of Science and Tecnics" located into the old Aimeret, Amat i Jover's factory.

Terrassa is located very close to the natural park "Sant Llorenç del Munt" so it is a perfect place for all the nature lover, there is also the magnificent monastery of Sant Llorenç del Munt.
