Also from a roman origin this prosper catalonian city had reputation of textil region during the medieval era. Inside its old part of town there are buildings like "Casa de los Escolapis" (todays town hall), "Casa Turull" (arts museum) and the "Casa Casanovas" (history museum) as well as many modernism houses all over its streets.

Its most important building is the "St. Feliu" church of neogothic style.
During the months of april and may take place here the "Cicle d´Opera de Catalunya", (Cicle of Catalonia´s Opera festival).
