The Montserrat Sanctuary was declared natural parc since 1987 and it is very likely to see rare animals all alone the montain. Within this great animal and vegetation resort there are all kind of routes and small paths for nature lovers.
In fact there are well organized information points on the Montserrat square.
But this place is much more than a well conserve nature parc, Montserat is considered one of the most famous pilgrimage places for the christian world.

Once you have paid the entrance fee (if you go by your own car) one must climb three small squares before facing the main monastry facade. As one goes up there are one hotel and the remains of the gothic cloister. The vasilica convines gothic and renaissance styles.
It is without doubt an imponent recint anyone must visit.

It is an important religion meeting point in the catalonia´s everydays life in wich important place has the catalonia´s patrona saint, the "Montserrat Virgen".
Besides all, in its library there are authentic antiques and within its museum there are many art pieces from artist like Picasso and Dalí.
