Taking north-east direction to Girona and at around 10kms from Barcelona one can fin this city.
A city that has more than 5 kms of sandy mediterranean beaches, with a fantastic sea ride and its own interesting history. During the roman era this place was named by the romans "Baetulo" (Before it was habitated by the Iberians), it is also one of the oldest catalonias cities.
Beside its wanderfull beaches also deserves a visit the "Museo de la Ciutat" where one can find old roman Archaeological remains. One of the most important is the "Venus de Badalona" made out of marbel.
Also important here is la "Torre Vella" (XIII century) and the "Sta. María´s church" (XVIII century) both places located on the Pl. Barberá. Another place that deserves a visit is the" Pl.de la Constitució".
Modernism has its own place here, dont forget this was (and still is ) a very prosper industrial area, prosperity was evident along everywhere. Modernism architects did here few projects.
