Barcelona´s modernism

This building is part of the so called "Block of discord" cause it is located into the apartments block were are three (3 ) of the most prestigious modernism buildings in Barcelona center.



These buildings were created by the three most famous and prestigious catalan architects on that time.
This particular building resembles the organic shape of skin, to be more exact a dragon skin.
The masked shape windows and the bones shape figures all seems to remain one the St. Jorge legend and its fight against the dragon. Renovated by Gaudí from 1905 to 1907.


To us, --editors of the present web page--, and after visiting all modernism buildings in Barcelona, we must say there are two buildings anyone must visit while in the city; one of them is this beautiful and interesting place.
You will love the forms, and the ingenious solutions to everyday's problems like ventilation (and no airconditioning needed!) or the first floor where windows can desapear in no time leaving a huge and open space view right to the Pass. de Grácia!....And its terrase is most impressive than, say, Casa Milá!!

**Besides, you will visit this place and have time for a coffee while the ones visiting Casa Milá will be waiting still to enter the place....most probably outside on the sidewalk

The other one we heartly recomend you visit from botton to the roof is "Palau Güell"...you wont regret it.
