A monument that can not only be seen as an architectual monument but more like a gigantic sculpure work of art done by Gaudí; this is actually the way many people see this magnificent building.
It is located between the Sardenya, Marina, Provenza and Mallorca streets.
It started originally as an expiatory temple back in 1882 when the first construction works began.
The original architect was "Francisco de Paula del Villar i Lozano" a diocesan architect wich was back then also in charge of the "Escuela Provincial de Barcelona".This is one of Barcelona's greatest Barcelona´s modernism monuments, it is a must visit!
